We are seeking a skilled and experienced AV Project Engineer to join our team in the AV (Audiovisual) industry. As an AV Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the successful implementation of audiovisual projects, from design to completion. Your expertise in AV systems, technical knowledge, and project management skills will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans, including AV system design, equipment selection, and integration strategies. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your in-depth knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and network technologies, to design and implement solutions that meet client needs. Conduct site surveys, perform system calculations, and create detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Project Execution and Management: Oversee the execution of AV projects, including equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning. Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient project delivery. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage changes to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and performance. Conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing their inquiries and concerns, and managing expectations. Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, professionalism, and exemplary customer service.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, designers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications and training in AV systems and technologies are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing AV projects, preferably in the AV industry. Familiarity with AV equipment, system integration, and industry standards (such as InfoComm standards) is essential.
  • Strong technical expertise in audio, video, control, and network technologies, including AV signal flow, DSP programming, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other AV design tools. Experience with project management software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest AV industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
